Yodit Tewolde sits down with the 76-year-old grandmother Gwen Levi, who was recently rearrested after a parole violation resulting from her missing a call from her parole officer when she was in computer class. A judge issued a compassionate release this week.
Levi says she feels grateful and humbled that she was released from prison. She says that she was surprised at the reaction from people who heard about her case.
“Humbled and grateful that there are people who understand that we are trying to come back to society, we’re trying to do the right thing,” Levi says.
