Charles Blow opens up “Prime” by discussing the city of Charlottesville deciding to remove statues of Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson from Market Street Park.
In 2017, Charlottesville was the deadly “Unite the Right Rally” site, where white supremacists clashed with protestors, leaving three people dead and more than 30 people injured. Former President Donald Trump infamously said that there were “very fine people on both sides” instead of fully condemning white supremacy.
Blow is joined by columnist for MSNBC Daily Dean Obeidallah to discuss how former President Donald Trump is still radicalizing his supporters.
All this and more on “Prime.”
