President Biden gave a speech in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania today about the importance of fighting for voting rights.
He called out former President Donald Trump on claims of voter fraud and the GOP for their assault on voting. However, it did not land well with civil rights leaders who were looking for a strategic plan from the president. Biden expressed some pessimism that voting rights legislation won’t be passed.
Co-founder of Black Voters Matter, LaTosha Brown, and U.S. Representative Pramila Jayapal joined Charles Blow on “Prime” to discuss the president’s speech and the importance of passing voting rights and getting rid of the filibuster.
