Ransom Kidnapping in Nigeria Negatively Affects Families


There is disturbing news coming out of Nigeria.

Families have been forced to sell their homes, land, use their savings, to pay off hundreds of thousands of dollars in ransom to get their children back from Boko Haram-inspired kidnappers. According to Reuters, more than 1,000 students have been abducted from schools since December.

Although some have been found, about 300 remain missing. In certain cases, kidnappers have asked for more than $100,000 for the return of children.
