While the question, “Where is Jelani?” was answered. His family has another, “What happened to Jelani Day?”
– On August 24th, Jelani Day was last seen in a cannabis dispensary in Bloomington, Illinois.
– On August 26th, Authorities found Jelani Day’s clothes in his car in a wooded area in the small city of Peru, Illinois. About an hour north of Bloomington.
– On September 2nd, Day’s wallet was found in LaSalle, Illinois. That’s about 94 miles southwest of Chicago.
– On September 4th, A body is found floating near the river’s south bank, not far from where crews discovered Day’s car in Peru.
– On September 23rd, The body found in the river was positively identified as the missing 25-year-old.
The hashtag #WhatHappenedToJelaniDay has been trending since the announcement of his death.
