This Is About Humanity: Rep. Al Green Rips U.S./Haiti Policy, Says TPS Should Trump Use Of Title 42

Out of the nearly 15,000 Haitians who arrived in Del Rio, Texas, 12,400 remain in the United States, 8,000 were sent back to Mexico, and 2,000 were deported to Haiti.

On Monday, Congressman Al Green of Texas spoke with Roland Martin about the crisis along the southern border of the United States and criticized the policies that were used to determine how Haitians are being treated once they set foot on American soil.

Rep. Green explained that TPS should trump the use of Title 42 and that those who have traveled thousands of miles should be allowed to stay and proceed through the process to seek asylum in the United States.
