Human Rights Watch Unveil 160 Abuse Cases Against Migrants at Border

Human Rights Watch obtained documents detailing at least 160 cases of abuse by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers, Border Patrol agents and ICE officials against migrants at the border.

The documented cases include physical abuse, molestation and sexual assault from law enforcement toward migrants seeking safety.

Immigration advocates, who have already been waiting 30 years, are disappointed with the slow pace of reform. The right wing is pressuring the Biden administration to take a firmer stance, to stem the tide of a record 1.7 million migrants arrested at the southern border.

Patrice Lawrence, executive director of the UndocuBlack Network, and Clara Long, director with Human Rights Watch, join Nayyera Haq on β€œPrime” to discuss the abuse of migrants.

All this and more on β€œPrime.”
