Last month, the Biden administration halted settlement talks that could have awarded $1 billion to the families separated under the Trump administrationโs zero tolerance immigration policy.
Additionally, a class action lawsuit was filed by Haitian migrants last month against the administration over their treatment at the southern border in September.
