JC Watts Shares Cultural Power of Black Media Telling Black Stories

J.C. Watts is an athlete, a clergy and politician who was born into poverty in Oklahoma and soon after became one of many Black children attending segregated schools.

Watts is also the first African-American elected to lead Oklahoma in the House of Representatives. Del Walters of β€œDC Today” describes him as a man who β€œtalks the talk and walks the walk.” As Black History Month kicks off, Watts, who is also a chairman of BNC, joins Walters to discuss the power of Black media telling our own stories.
