Biden Meets NYC Mayor Eric Adams To Discuss Combating Gun Violence

After an uptick in crime and a string of shootings in New York City, President Joe Biden has struck an alliance with the country’s newest tough-on-crime and pro-police Mayor Eric Adams.

Convening at the New York City’s police headquarters, the president and attorney general Merrick Garland sat down with Adams today to discuss proactively tackling gun violence.

Shortly before his address, Biden called for $300 million to expand the DOJ’s community policing program.

Jumaane Williams, New York City’s public advocate, joins Charles Blow on “Prime” to discuss.

All this and more on β€œPrime.”
