A new report shows a disparity in car insurance premiums in America based on ethnicity.
The Consumer Federation of America says Black drivers with good records have to pay far more for their auto insurance than their white counterparts. A survey by the Consumer Federation of America looked at good drivers who live in zip codes mainly populated by African Americans and compared them to those in largely white areas.
It found that premiums were 13% higher for African Americans than one who lives in a white neighborhood of comparable risk.
BNC correspondent Astrid Martinez breaks down this report.
