A new park will be opening in Upstate New York.
The Sojourner Truth State Park will be opening this spring in Ulster County. Truth was born enslaved near the park’s site and later gained her freedom and rose to fame. Charles Blow highlights her achievements and impact on his “Black History Moment” segment.
