American Rescue Plan Provides Relief for HBCU Students


HBCUs received much-needed funding throughout the pandemic, especially under President Joe Biden’s American Rescue Plan.

Most HBCU presidents agree that the extra funding helped keep students enrolled, helped them provide resources and kept the cost of tuition from rising. Since Build Back Better hasn’t passed and Biden is failing to keep his campaign promise of college debt forgiveness, will HBCUs be able to sustain themselves when the relief runs out?
