BOOYAH!! The federal government reports the U.S economy added 431,000 jobs in March.
That brings the unemployment rate to a new pandemic-era low of three-point-fix percent.
The job gains were lower than economists had expected, but they still rounded up a solid first quarter for the U.S. labor market.
President Biden says that job creation has been at an all-time high since being in office.
The U.S economy is now just one-point-six million jobs short of where it was in February 2020, before the pandemic hit.
Roland Martin spoke to Cecilia Rouse, the Chair of the President’s Council of Economic Advisers on Friday about the promising March jobs report.
