The idea that “Black Twitter” controls the culture is egregiously false. On Friday, Roland Martin said, “You don’t control nothing you don’t own”.
The founder/CEO of the Black Star Network explained African Americans are participants on these various social media platforms.
“We are the show in show business,” Martin said. “While we are shining and flossing on stage somebody else is counting the paper backstage and when we’re done shining and flossing somebody else is going to the bank.”
