Did Chicago Mayor & City Lawyers Try To Coverup Cops Cuffing Naked Black Woman During Botched Raid?

The Chicago Police Department was forced to turn over body camera footage of a horrific night two years ago, where nearly nine officers raided the wrong house and handcuffed a naked Black homeowner.

Anjanette Young is seeking justice for how she was treated that night back in February 2019.

The social worker had just returned home from her shift at the hospital and was undressing when police began to batter down her door. Young pleaded for police to allow her to get dressed as they shoved guns in her face. She can be heard in the bodycam footage telling officers nearly 43 times they were in the wrong home.

Mayor Lori Lightfoot wants the wrong raids to stop.

She’s asked the city’s chief risk officer to review the police department’s policies and procedures for obtaining and executing search warrants. While they remain under investigation, no consequences have been announced for the officers involved yet.
