Activist and co-chair of “Our Black Party” Dr. Wes Bellamy and Civil Rights attorney S. Lee Merritt join Yodit Tewolde on the continued protests in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, over the shooting death of Daunte Wright.
Discrepancies in how law enforcement handles unarmed Black suspects and hostile white suspects highlight that the system is working the way it was designed, Bellamy says.
“This system is for the benefit of white people; this system is currently constructed to uphold white supremacy. It cannot be reformed. It must be torn down and started anew,” he adds.
