“There is no reason why 86 people should control who wins and loses at an award show,” Touré says. “It’s a terrible Oscar predictor. It’s a terrible show. It historically does not represent what’s really going on in American culture. They don’t pay attention to what’s going on in Black culture. It’s a mess.”
