It’s been a little over a month since rapper DMX died on April 9, 2021. Weeks before he died, he sat down for a special episode of “Uncensored” on TV One. He spoke about personal topics, including his relationship with his mother. Jay Allen and Nikki Byles, the producers from the episode, joined “Start Your Day” with Sharon Reed and Mike Hill to discuss the interview. Speaking to the rapper’s personality, Allen said DMX wanted to speak on positive topics, and not focus on the drama he had with others. The two said they are keeping DMX’s legacy alive by honoring his contributions to hip hop. The episode airs on Sunday, May 6, at 8 p.m.
