Charles Blow sits down with Cameron Webb, senior policy advisor for Equity, White House COVID Task Force and Dr. Mercedes Carnethon, professor and vice-chair of Preventive Medicine at Northwestern University, to discuss governors mixed messaging about trusting science in the wake of the CDC’s new measures that allows fully vaccinated people to ditch their masks indoors and outdoors.
“Make up your mind, governors. Are we supposed to trust the science, as you said we should, or are we only supposed to trust the science that you trust?” Blow says.
New York and New Jersey governors have said that they’re not lifting the mask requirements in their states.
