In All Branches Of The Military: AP Report Exposes Deep-Rooted Racism, Discrimination In US Military

An Associated Press article featuring interviews with officers from just about every branch of the armed services described a deep-rooted culture of racism and discrimination.

Last year, the military said it processed more than 750 complaints of discrimination by race or ethnicity from service members. An additional 900 complaints were filed by civilians working with members of the Army, Air Force, and Navy.

On Tuesday, Associated Press’ national investigative race writer Kat Stafford and Richard Brookshire, Co-Founder/Executive Director, Black Veterans Project spoke with Roland Martin about the U.S. military’s problem with racism and about how it permeates in all branches of the armed forces.
