Champion for Children Award Winner Jamal Jospeh Talks Importance of Dance

“Salute THEM Awards” honored dancer and choreographer Jamal Joseph, with the Champion for Children Award. A graduate of South Carolina HBCU Vorhees College, he received a Bachelor’s degree in mass communications, but never lost his love of dance. Joseph has a laundry list of accomplishments in choreography including Saturday Night Live and Beyonce’s “Homecoming” Coachella performance. Most recently, he authored a book titled “Black Boys Dance Too: Darnell Enters a Talent Show,” to inspire young Black boys to dance.
