Representative Ilhan Omar of Minnesota has drawn criticism from her colleagues on Capitol Hill. Omar pressured Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to investigate human rights injustices by both Hamas and Israeli security forces. She also tweeted, “We must have the same level of accountability and justice for all victims of crimes against humanity. We have seen unthinkable atrocities committed by the U.S., Hamas, Israel, Afghanistan and the Taliban.” Many of her colleagues accused her of anti-Semitism and grouping the U.S. with terrorist groups.
