African American History Museum Makes Exhibits Searchable on Digital

The National Museum of African American History and Culture, which opened its doors in 2016, now offers a digital experience.

This week, the museum launched a digital initiative which makes several of its exhibits searchable.

The new platform is an effort to capture the in-house experience of the museum and share it with anyone, anywhere who has access to a laptop or smartphone.

The digital project’s first exhibition is called β€œSlavery & Freedom.” It mirrors an exhibition of the same name at the museum. Millions have walked through the doors of the Smithsonian to digest this collection and now millions more will have access to history online.

All this and more on β€œPrime.”
