The national boycott of Atlanta-based Coca-Cola, Delta Airlines and Home Depot set for Thursday by religious leaders is being postponed.
The proposed move to inflict economic pain on Georgia businesses has been paused at least until after their planned, closed-door meeting with corporate executives next week.
The group, which includes the Sixth Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church believes the new law seeks to suppress the votes of Black and brown people. They say Georgia’s corporations did not levy their power enough to speak out against the new law.
