Marc Lamont Hill chats with “Lives of Great Men” author Chiké Frankie Edozien about the lack of LGBTQ+ rights in many African countries, including Nigeria. Many passed tough anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, something he calls “draconian.”
Edozien says that Uganda, Nigeria and Ghana are some of the stricter countries regarding anti-LGBTQ+ sentiments, partly because of homophobic evangelical American pastors’ influence.
