Biden Responds To GOP Wave Of Voter Suppression, Signs Voting Rights Exec. Order On 'Bloody Sunday'

To mark the 56th anniversary of “Bloody Sunday,” yesterday, President Joe Biden issued an executive order to promote voting access.

The executive order directs federal agencies to actively assist states with registering voters and submit plans within 200 days that outline steps to expand voter registration. It also includes measures to increase voting access for federal employees, international voters and active duty military members.

The executive order is a direct response to the 250 plus bills Republicans are pushing across the country.
