On Thursday, President Joe Biden and his administration rolled out a slate of executive measures to address gun violence in the United States. Using terms like “epidemic” and “public health crisis,” Biden paid special focus on the topic of “ghost guns” and red flag laws saying there have been enough prayers and not enough action. His announcement came as police in South Carolina identified NFL player Phillip Adams as the suspect in killing five people. New Orleans bounce performer and reality television star Big Freedia joined “Black News Tonight” with Marc Lamont Hill to discuss gun control. Big Freedia has become an activist on the topic after being a victim of gun violence. Citing the violence in New Orleans, Big Freedia said she’s seen and experienced it for years. “I have been seeing gun violence since I was a kid, and it has not improved at all,” she said.
