Black Church To Organize, Mobilize, Educate And Protect Voters On And Before Election Day

There are less than 35 days until election day getting out the Black vote is critical.

Trump is energizing many white evangelical Christians, but black Christians are equally motivated to oppose him, pointing to the president’s unquestioning support for police after the killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and other unarmed African Americans, as well as his handling of a pandemic that is killing Blacks in disproportionate numbers.

There’s a push for churches to take responsibility in the 2020 election to mobilize, educate and register voters. Dr. Frederick Haynes, III, Senior Pastor of Friendship-West Church in Dallas spoke with Roland Martin during Thursday’s edition of #RolandMartinUnfiltered about how the Black church is pushing back, fighting against voter suppression, educating and preparing to protect voters as we near the 2020 election.
