Black Women Leaders Meet with VP Kamala Harris to Combat Voter Suppression

On โ€œMaking the Caseโ€ hosted by Yodit Tewolde, the fight for voting rights is ongoing as many Black women who participated in the Black Womenโ€™s March sat down with Vice President Kamala Harris.

LaTosha Brown, who is one of the leaders of the Black Voters Matter movement, has described the meeting as an important step to developing a plan to fight voter suppression in America. One of the most notable states related to voter suppression is Texas. A restrictive voting bill was presented in the Texas State House and Texas Democrats responded by leaving the state to go to Washington, D.C.

One of the Texas Democrats, Jarvis Johnson, spoke to Tewolde on โ€œMaking the Caseโ€ about the fight for voting rights.
