Law school students at George Washington University used their 1st amendment right to remove Justice Clarence Thomas from teaching a seminar.
Nearly 12,000 people signed the petition to have Justice Thomas removed from his teaching post. The petition cites Thomas’ views on abortion, gay marriage, and his wife Ginni Thomas’ participation in the attempted coup as reasons he should not teach at the law school.
The University has said Justice Thomas is unavailable to teach during the fall semester.
