Kelley said Donald Williams II, a mixed martial artist, was a “superstar witness.” Citing Chauvin’s legal team’s theme, which is to place blame on bystanders, Kelley said Williams did not allow the defense to paint him as an angry man. “The connecting of the dots is not going the way the defense imagined,” she said.
