Charles Blow & Hussam Ayloush on SCOTUS Deciding to Hear FBI Surveillance Case

Charles Blow sits down with Hussam Ayloush, executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, to talk about the Supreme Court deciding to hear an FBI surveillance case.

Three Muslim men sued the FBI for engaging in religious discrimination by targeting Muslim Americans by surveilling them. The agency wants the civil lawsuit thrown out.

β€œThis is about saying to the FBI that you cannot treat any community in America as second-class citizens,” Ayloush says. β€œHistorically speaking, we know that the FBI has had a long history of treating minorities, whether its African Americans, Latinos, Muslims and others as people who are deemed as suspects until proven innocent.”

All this and more on β€œPrime.”
