Charles Blow sits with First Black Composer for the MET


Charles Blow is joined by Terence Blanchard, Grammy award-winning jazz trumpeter and composer, to discuss the debut of his opera at the MET this September. Blanchard would also be the first Black composer to debut at the MET with his β€œFire Shut Up in My Bones,” which would be the second all-Black cast after β€œPorgy and Bess” at the MET in its 130-year history.
