According to a 2020 Pew Research poll, the United States’ favorability in countries like Britain, Germany and France was at a record low. With President Joe Biden coming into office, he nominated Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield to become the U.S. representative at the United Nations.
She is the second African American woman to ever hold this position. Thomas-Greenfield spoke to Charles Blow about what it means for her to hold that position at this moment.
