Cheslie Kryst Brings Black Women And Depression to the Forefront


Attorney Sheila White said she wrestled with depression for years. A recent episode happening around the same time period Cheslie Kryst, former Miss U.S.A., died of suicide.

Black women are less likely to seek or receive adequate mental health treatment. They are also less likely to receive adequate treatment because providers detect their depression less often and misdiagnose it.
