Pamela Smith is the first African American woman to lead the United States Park Police in the organization’s 230-year history. She started in the new role earlier this year and BNC Washington D.C. Correspondent Bofta Yimam sits down with Smith for her first in-person one-on-one interview. She speaks candidly about her passion for service and policing. One of her first actions in the role included a plan to establish a program for body cameras for officers.
