Civil Rights Leader and Presidential Adviser, Vernon Jordan, Dies at 85


Civil Rights activist Vernon Jordan died on March 1 at 85 years old. Sharon Reed and Mike Hill pay their respects to Jordan on β€œStart Your Day.” He was close family friends to former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Jordan served as an adviser to President Clinton during his 1992 presidential campaign and had tied with former President Barack Obama, as well as former presidents George HW Bush and George W Bush.

Hill said that it was something β€œspecial” to see Jordan β€œa prominent Black man working so closely with the President of the United States.
