Federal leaders are investigating climate crisis disinformation that may have come from the fossil fuel industry.
Lawmakers on Capitol Hill invited six CEOs of oil companies and major lobbying groups to testify in October. Their plan is to try to get the CEOs to admit they spread disinformation about climate change. The congressional committee is also asking industry executives to produce documents going back to 2015 detailing any efforts to undercut climate science and policy. In the meantime, scientists say climate change is making wildfires more intense and more frequent. Anita Bennett has the story on BNC GO’s “Morning Hype.”
