Confronting the Stigma Around HIV and the Black Community

Rapper DaBaby made homophobic and AIDS-shaming comments at the Rolling Loud Miami Festival.

DaBaby said to his fans that, “If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases that’ll make you die in two, three weeks, then put your cellphone light up.”

His comments generated a lot of criticism from a lot of people, including Questlove, Elton John and Madonna, who spoke on breaking the stigmas.

Dr. David Malebranche, internal medicine physician and HIV and sexual expert, joins Laverne McGee on β€œBlack News Tonight” to discuss the old myths of HIV.

All this and more on β€œBlack News Tonight.”
