Congo Ends Ebola Outbreak, Amazon Enters Nigerian Film Market


In the Africa diaspora, the Ministry of Health announced the Ebola virus outbreak that cropped up in the North Kivu province of the Democratic Republic of Congo is now over.

The DRC was able to make the declaration of being Ebola-free in accordance with WHO recommendations, 42 days after the second negative test of the last confirmed case.

Amazon Prime Video is doing big business with the Nigerian film market, Nollywood, as the streaming giant inks a multi-year licensing deal with the Nigerian production company, Inkblot Studios.

Prime Video will have exclusive and worldwide distribution rights for Inkblot’s theatrical releases from 2022, according to the new deal.
