There are record levels of hospitalization and death. Southern states like Alabama have the country’s lowest vaccination rate. Less than 40% of its residents have been fully vaccinated, and nearly 10,000 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in the last two weeks.
Alabama Governor Kay Ivey made a bold statement by blaming the unvaccinated for letting the state down.
