There is a new strain of COVID-19 called the Mu variant and there is a rise in cases. There are questions about the vaccine and how are bodies will fight the virus.
“BNC Live” welcomes family medicine specialist Dr. Bayo Curry-Winchell in order to discuss people out vacationing this Labor Day weekend who probably didn’t protect themselves as best as they could.
Dr. Curry-Winchell acknowledges that the healthcare community is concerned anytime people vacation during holidays or events where people are gathering in masses and not utilizing protective measures to ensure there isn’t an increase in COVID-19 cases.
Dr. Curry-Winchell also talks about how people should remind themselves of what viruses do, which is mutate and this new strain isn’t really a surprise to her.
All this and more on “BNC Live.”
