
The commanding general of the D.C. National Guard Major General William Walker testified during a Senate hearing today, where he shared his timeline of events during the attack on the U.S. Capitol.
Major General Walker said he received an unusual memo prior to January 6, requesting that he go through multiple rounds of approval before he could deploy the D.C. National Guard.
He also said that the orders to move on protesters in June were very different from the delayed response he received from the Army Secretary in January.
