On Wednesday, a judge in Alamance County, North Carolina rejected a request to ban Reverend Greg Drumwright from organizing on county property.
A perturbed local prosecutor called Drumright a “danger to the community” and insisted that the Reverend and his supporters are “likely to riot.”
The prosecutor’s claims are based on an early voting march Drumright organized in October where a group of demonstrators were pepper sprayed and arrested on their way to the polls.
However, according to the News & Observer, the judge denied the prosecutor’s motion, deeming his demands as “too broad” and “inadequate.”
Drumright and his supporters have organized several Black Lives Matter protests throughout Alamance County since the summer. On Monday, they marched through the city of Graham chanting for charges to be dropped against the protestors arrested back in October.
Justice for the Next Generation Organizer, Reverend. Gregory B. Drumwright spoke to Roland during Thursday’s edition of #RolandMartinUnfiltered about how a local prosecutor tried to keep him from organizing protests.
