Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has formally come out against the bipartisan proposal by Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin and Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act as an alternative to the For The People Act.
McConnell says this bill isn’t necessary and Manchin is essentially standing in the way of the proposed legislation.
