Derek Chauvin Still Eligible for $1 Million Pension

Hundreds of police officers who have been convicted of felonies can still get their pensions.
Derek Chauvin, who murdered Minneapolis man George Floyd in May 2020, is eligible for his pension totaling $1 million, despite the murder conviction.
Melanie Hicken, a senior writer and investigative reporter for CNN, joins “Making the Case” to discuss officers getting their pensions.
“A pension guarantees you a certain set amount of money every year until you pass away,” Hicken says.
