Devyn Simone talks diversity in the Oscar nominations


Entertainment journalist Devyn Simone talks about this year’s Oscars with Yodit Tewolde.

This year’s ceremony will be one of the most diverse in history. Two Black women, Viola Davis and Andra Day, are nominated for best actress; the late Chadwick Boseman is nominated for best actor.

Daniel Kaluuya and LaKeith Stanfield are nominated for best-supporting actors for their roles in “Judas and the Black Messiah,” which is also nominated for best picture.
