Dwayne Lester Jr. Uses Experience To Advocate for Incarcerated People

Dwayne Lester Jr. is an inspiring story of someone making a difference in Black communities.

After seeing the impact the criminal justice system had on him and his family, he was inspired to help incarcerated people get a shot at a better life, both inside prison and after they’re released.

“Tic Toc Innovations,” the program Lester Jr. founded nearly a decade ago, is now being used in the correctional system to help with mental health services, job training and much more.

He joins Yodit Tewolde from North Carolina on “Making the Case” to discuss his story and the program.

All this and more on “Making the Case.”
