Coming up, a Colorado grand jury indicted three police officers and two paramedics in the death of Elijah McClain. In 2019, McClain was put in a chokehold by police, pinned to the ground and injected with a dose of the powerful sedative ketamine during police response to a call of a “sketchy” person at a convenience store in Aurora, a suburb of Denver.
Iris Halpern, the McClain family attorney, joins Tewolde on “Making the Case” to discuss the case in-depth.
